The holidays always bring excitement, relaxation and fun.Since there are only a few weeks left of the year i thought it would be a good idea to organize a party for the Youth Group at church.I did not have too much money but i hat some good ideas that were very inexpensive and fun.

First i thought about food and what would my guests would like to eat.I wanted to cook something myself but i had not enough time so ordering was the only option. The group consisted of two adults and ten children and i know how much they enjoy eating pizza.I found really good offers from Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Pappe John’s Pizza. I spent on three large pizzas less than i would have spent at the supermarket.If you find too expensive to order you can involve the guests in meal preparation and also in the party planning.In this way you will have the possibility to chose from a variety of dishes.

The next important thing are the presents.It is not cheep to buy a gift for each one of your guests.I set a money limit around 5 dollars because i thought it is not too much. We decided to buy presents and then give them anonymously,so it had to be useful for boys and girls as well.I also give them the option to bring up something from their home.At the end, each child left with a funny present, but their smile was the priceless thing in fact.

The location of the party is vital and finding a suitable location can really be difficult at times.Even though i wanted to organize this party at home, the architecture of my home did not allow the children to run and feel free because there was not enough room. The group was a church one so we could use the fellowship hall at church. It was a good option because we had enough room and the cleaning was not an issue.

The guests list is important because at the beginning i wanted to throw this party just for the Youth Group. After a while i realized that my neighbors had kids that would love to come, so i added their names on the guests list , too. They came in time and this party not only made them feel great but also was a way to share the Gospel.

The games are necessary for a funny party. The game is a thing that is loved by everyone , no matter the age.I wanted to organize something new so i searched on web. The „ Balloon Stuff and Act” is a game in which there are two teams. Each team has to be represented by „an actor”.The actor’s clothes need to be filled with balloons and the one that looked funnier won.Everyone enjoyed this game. „Blindfold and feed” was great. Children do not care if their clothes get dirty .Sometimes,dirt is funny .Anyway, everyone needs a partner and they need to wear blindfolds. It is a competition because each team has to compete against the other team by feeding his partner with a banana. Their faces looked really funny at the end of the game. For „The Sticky Note” all you need are sticky notes and pencils.This game consists of writing a person’s name or an object on a sticky note.All that has to be done is to pick up a person and stick a note on his or her forehead.They can ask the group questions that can be answered by monosyllabic words.When the word is guessed someone else has to do this.For „Mitten Present” are necessary two teams and five present boxes for each team .Anyway, every child should have a box to open. Each team forms a line and the one that is at the beginning of the line must wear a pear of mittens or of gloves.They have to countdown from three and the kids with the gloves must go and bring a present box, unwrap it and give the gloves to the next one in his or her team. The team that unwraps all gifts first is the winner.

These games are helpful when you try to throw a party and you do not have much money. Before organizing a party i had no idea what i had to do.This party was more fun because of the age of the guests. At the end, no one wanted to go home. Holidays mean having fun and enjoying the time spent at a party.
